Happy 2013!!!

Hope 2013 is treating you all very well :) I've been having such a great winter break! It's awesome to be back with all my family and friends but it seems so odd to me that I'll have to leave them again in a few weeks...
In those few weeks. I have some exciting plans and lots of time to both relax and make some dough :) I'm hoping to go NYC to reunite with my bing buddies and possibly pay a visit to the land of rocks to visit my dearest Becca... boy do I miss that crazy lady! My birthday is coming up; wow one more year as a crazy teenager! Later this month I'll pay a visit to my lovely sister for inaugural weekend in D.C.
I can't wait to get back to bing and start the spring semester. I sure hope its filled with snow, interesting developmental psych lectures, yummy slow cooked food, and great new memories :)

Winter Break :)

Finally back on Long Island for Winter Break!!! This semester has been AMAZING! I have met so many amazing people, had great experiences, and learned so much about myself and academics of course! I think what made my transition to college the easiest was the caliber of friends I have/made. Despite being skeptical of social issues, I signed up to live in a suite with girls from my high school. This turned out GREAT! I love my suite and we have an awesome group of friends! :) Who knew the people you meet at a scavenger hunt would be walking the nature preserve with you at 7 in the morning after playing Encore all night! I've learned what not to get at the dining hall and what you can do for 5 days with $20 left on your meal plan :) This semester I also applied for an RA position. At first, I didn't think I'd want to live by myself, sit at a desk all night,  and care for an entire floor of residents; but after meeting my amazing RA Erin and many other RA's who love their job I decided it really was the job for me. I think it will be totally cool to watch over a floor and have duty where people can come to me with issues and such! I don't interview till February, but I am excited and nervous already! What is nervewracking though, is not knowing if I'll be rooming with my awesome roomie next year or if she needs to find a new roomie :( We have such roomie swag its not even funny :) SHAYLAN! Hi!  Academically, this semester was rough. I don't have the best study habits and transitioning in this sense was a big issue for me. I'm happy with my grades I think they definitely reflect the amount of hardwork I put in versus the struggle I had to keep up. I think I've learned a lot from this semester and even heavy workloads in high school. Next semester I'll totally rock it :)

WINTER BREAK!!!!!!! I'm so happy to be home and finally see everybody and relax! I'm hoping to hang with my family a lot. Also, probably work a bit and get together with friends :) I miss my Bing family, but January 25th will come soon! See ya! MERRY CHRISTMAS readers!!!!!! :) HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Past due as usual...

So it's a good time for blogging :)
College is pretty awesome not gunna lie. So far I've met some awesome people, had some awesome fun, and ate some awesome food(not lol sodexo). This week is quite interesting... I have a huge psych exam tomorrow which I've been studying like crazy for, I'm going tot Disney with my family for thanksgiving and just made up a lab I missed because of hurricane Sandy. Thanks  to Sandy I now have 2 labs due post Thanksgiving break :( oh well! I register for spring classes tomorrow which is like the last day anyone gets to register so half the classes I planned on taking are full... fun right? I'm dying to take Developmental Psychology because my awesome intro psych professor teaches it oh and I need it for my major lol. Hopefully more spots open up :)
As I wrote before I'm going to Disney with my family for Thanksgiving so that will be awesome. Also celebrating my parents' 60th Birthday :) Happy Birthday Mommy and Daddy!!! I'm excited to go with my nieces and see everyone for a while! I'll miss being at Bing because my suite is awesome and that's like it haha(shoutout). I'm kinda bummed about not being home though this weekend, everyone's asking to hang out and most of my friends are home...oh well Mickey is awesome. Missing Becca cause she left for home like forever ago! Silly silly becca.

Chemistry is ridiculous. I get that people don't understand it but why must I be put in a group with people who don't care? Corey, do you not see me striving in class to answer all the questions? Okay personal rant complete. If you didn't catch my drift, tonight's chem quiz was a disaster! But hopefully I can resolve this craziness and keep being awesome at chemistry. I want an A so bad!
On a happier note I've been hanging out with really cool people since I've been here  :) My suite is really great. We all get along even when someone changes their name or game nights run long. I like living in a suite and having friends over and such. Speaking of sweet... haha get it?... okay well I like chocolate. Brandon's parents sent chocolate in their care package for me and my parents sent a trick or treat care package filled with all kinds of Halloween goodies!
I also met awesome people I think I'm going to be friends with for a really long time :) Yes, Becca this is you <3 We have the best and most ridiculous conversations and inside jokes ever!  Love you Cheerio :)
I'm excited already because RA selection times are coming up and I think I would make an awesome RA. I've been talking to so many people who love doing it and I might actually have a pretty good shot. :)
So its Thursday night and I want this week to be over. I think. Will blog about this weekend I hope :)
