Week of the crazyness

So I know I'm not really good at keeping up with this, but hey it's fun when I do decide/remember to blog. :)
This is the craziest week yet for me since move-in. I had two exams, voter registration tabling, meetings, workshops, a field trip and Dorm Wars is this weekend! My psych exam was pretty difficult, but chem was very fair :) I made a few silly mistakes, but the exam was very easy overall. At least I thought so. This weekend will be awesome though! Dorm wars is a big competition between the halls in my community, it's all about getting to know your hall and people in other ones too! We won last year so we better win this year too! Okay well it's 3am I should probably go to sleep now. :) Hasta el proximo blogo lol :) Until I remember to blog next... :)

Chem quiz #2, packages, shepards pie, and greys anatomy!

Hello there blog readers! I really am bad at keeping up with this :( but I hope you're enjoying my posts although they are few. I think my "transitional period" is over at this point. I love it here and I know what my schedule's like and how to cope with being homesick. I have figured out chem and i think tonight's quiz went awesome! I want an A so bad in this class, but I also need one in Psych. Today I was under the impression we didn't have a quiz in psych because we didn't have class Tuesday, but NOOOO guess what happened today? quiz! I think it didn't go well, but I got a perfect score on the last one and she drops the lowest. I'm good I just need to set aside time, like I did for chem, to outline the chapters. I really like my professor, shes so funny and understandable!
I've been getting occasional pieces of mail and packages! I love love love getting packages :) I got a fun package from dad: Frisbee, first aid kit, flashlight, flash drive (WHOA they all started with F! lol how fun!). I also got flashing bracelets from Tricia and Philip for me and my crazy college friends. :) I ordered a new game off amazon for our weekly game night :) Friday night we'll get together with a bunch of friends and stay up real late playing ridiculously awesome board games! This weekend Becca and I might make dinner Saturday night :) That would be awesome! I also have orchestra rehearsal on Saturday. Last week went well, there are some eccentric characters in the group, but overall I like it and I appreciate the opportunity to play judgement-free.
Tonight for dinner I had Shepard's pie, it was kinda terrible. I want to go home. Haha, what I really mean is it's not Irish Coffee Pub's but it was something involving mashed potatoes so I survived. :) Sorry Sodexo, but you should stick to the mac-and-cheese.
So as I'm typing this sentence I'm kinda crying, but that's because Grey's Anatomy is SO GOOD! ( I won't spoil it for those of you who love it like I do).
I'm hoping for an awesome weekend and a week week to follow because my nieces and sister are coming to visit!!! YAY!! I'm so excited to have visitors and see my family! :)
Hopefully I'll blog soon. But hey you never know, it is me afterall. :P

Home for the weekend Spoiler alert: its a sad one!

So I came home for a much needed visit this weekend and I'm so glad I did! It was Much needed mostly because I missed my family so much. But also because I needed to be back to grieve. My DiDi passed away on Wednesday :( DiDi was a second mom to me. She watched me everyday from when I was only six weeks old all the way through eight grade. She was an amazing woman who taught me so much throughout my childhood. We would go to the ecology center for hours or lose track of time reading at the library. I loved being at her house so much that by the time I was old enough to stay home alone I still wanted to go there. As I got older I helped her with the younger kids like Evan and Jake. I learned how to make the best chicken cutlets and how to babysit! I also loved her pancakes! For me, she would make pancakes in different sizes and pile them up like a mountain... add syrup and it's a VOLCANO!!! (Coolest thing ever!) Well two years ago she retired and moved to SC and I haven't really seen her since. Well she was very sick and I didn't know... no one did. :( she passed peacefully Wednesday morning and I know she is the best person  to have as a guardian angel.<3 RIP Di we all miss you! 

VP status :) Milkshake Tuesday and thought excersize

I have lots of news here from the exciting land of Binghamton University!
Let's start with a list:

• I have no classes Friday!
• I had my first "thought exercise" in psych yesterday! It went awesome!
• I discovered milkshake tuesday!
• I ran for Service and Leadership Co-VP of my building(results below)
• I actually made it to Chem lab on time on monday... I know right?
• I successfully dd my second load of laundry
• I went to walmart and exchanged my coffee maker!
• We had a birthday celebration for my roomie.
• I'm starting a diet. This sodexo food is KILLING me.
• Dad taught Mom how to oovoo!
• I've been dating BDawgG for 3 and a half years! :)
• I have so much reading to do :(
• I'm going home this weekend! YAY

I'm so excited that Katie is coming to get me Friday! I can't wait to see everybody again! I love it here so much but I definitely miss my family and friends A LOT! I will probably work a few hours at you-know-where just to see everyone and keep myself on the schedule. I will also babysit my nieces which is AWESOME! Class recesses at 1 on Friday but there are no chem lectures for the day because the earlier ones would be ahead. I have chem lab mondays ten minutes after I have crazy writing class. So i slightly jogged there because the lab starts exactly on the half hour mark so if I'm late(as I usually am to everything) I would not be allowed to preform lab. I have class BOO... Will continue this post later!

Days 2-4 Awesome Activities

Ok so I've been too busy/ too tired to blog when I get back to my dorm, so I'll try to be better at this! :) Haha. Friday was pretty cool! I finally got to unpack my clothes and such. We went on a late night target run which was pretty awesome :) I wish Target had giveaways and loud music all the time! Yesterday was University fest which was O.K. I found out about some cool clubs and got some random free books! After that I tried Zumba on campus and LOVED it!!!! Hoping to go at least 3x a week!  It's offered so often that I should be able to make it as a regular! After my workout I got dinner and went to Late Night. It was cool because they had a band and then a stand-up comedy show. I liked the first guy(except for the excessive drug jokes), but we didn't enjoy the second one so we left to play LAZER TAG!! :) That was sooo great. The stats showed me and the easiest target and most back-stabbed. Yes, that is because I just ran around shooting, not hiding or strategizing. We played Just Dance in our dorms then passed out for the second night in a row of late nights. Today, I got up sort of early and went to Catholic mass. I loved it! The chapel is beautiful and there were opportunities for me to get involved in mass even as a freshman! I even found that my RA goes there and I made a friend I would know later as the Donut Master. After mass and lunch I had some much-needed down time to videochat with my sister and catch up on Facebook. Then I met up with my suite mates halfway through their scavenger hunt. This is where I would meet Diana, a girl challenged to eat 6 donuts in one sitting. I helped by eating the last one. :) Yum!!! We memorized hidden items, hiked in the nature preserve, took crazy pictures and much much more! We were running late so therefore we missed the pizza. :( But I had an awesome sandwich that I would most likely reorder in the future! We then went to the local minor league baseball game where the B-Mets won!! It was fun to sit with other students and cheer for our new hometeam! After the AWESOME fireworks show we waited a good half an hour for campus buses  . My roommate and I wound up on the last bus which wasn't bad because we weren't piled in like cattle. We came back to campus and had an awesome game night with a friend we made while waiting! :) I'm really loving it here! College is awesome and I'm hoping I'll feel the same in a week when I've experienced the academic aspect not just the social and food parts. :) Tomorrow will probably consist of sleep, Zumba, fun, and Sleep. Oh and don't forget the food. Which isn't really that bad! Goodnight blog!
